Fanconi Anemia Awareness Scrap Kit

The week of May 1 thru the 6th is Fanconi Anemia Awareness Week. I made this scrap kit in honor of my Grandson Tyler and all the other children that have this dreaded disease.

Fanconi Anemia is a very rare bone marrow disorder. There is no cure and it is almost always fatal while the child is pre teen. There are cases of children living into their 20's and 30's so there is hope.

Tyler has this awful disease. Tyler is my 5 year old grandson. He had no clotting factors in his blood so he can easily die from internal bleeding from a simple bruise. Tyler will need to have a bone marrow transplant within the next year. His blood levels are very low but they are stable right now so we are hoping they stay as they are or get better. The longer he can go without the transplant the better the chance it will be successful.
